To allow a user of an electric vehicle to take part in formulation of an SOC plan more flexibly than in a prior art.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device controls a hybrid vehicle which includes at least an internal combustion engine, an electric motor, and a battery, and which can travel while selecting one of a plurality of modes corresponding to combinations of operational states of the internal combustion engine and the electric motor. The vehicle control device includes: a display control unit which causes a display unit to display an SOC plan for the battery generated for a travel route from a current point to a destination point designated by a user; a change unit which changes the SOC plan on the basis of designation from the user; and a control unit which controls the battery on the basis of the SOC plan after being changed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
