To provide an FR vehicle drive device which realizes a layout excellent in space efficiency and assembling performance without causing an electric power transmission loss and an increase in weight.SOLUTION: A vehicle drive device comprises: a transmission which is arranged in a power transmission path between an internal combustion engine installed in a front section of a vehicle and rear wheels thereof and transmits rotation of the internal combustion engine while changing a rotation speed to a variable speed output member; a hydraulic pressure control device which is arranged downstream of the transmission; a rotating electric machine which is arranged in the power transmission path at a position closer to the rear wheels than the transmission so as to be coaxial with the variable speed output member and has a stator and a rotor; a power conversion module which is electrically connected to the rotating electric machine; and a storage member which forms a first space storing the transmission and a second space storing the rotating electric machine so as to be next to the first space in an axial direction at a first side thereof. The power conversion module is arranged above the storage member and supported with a peripheral wall section forming the second space in the storage member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
