To provide an electrode for a secondary battery which is used as a cathode or an anode of a secondary battery.SOLUTION: An electrode for a secondary battery is provided which comprises an electrolytic solution, or a solid or gelatinous electrolyte, the electrode further comprises a current collector 222 including electrically conductive substance and an active substance layer 224 in contact with at least a part of the current collector and including an active substance. In at least either the current collector or the active substance layer of the electrode for a secondary battery, ion permeation regions 462, 464 each at least having either a gap that allows electrolyte ions of the electrolytic solution to be entered therein or an ion conducting substance having an ion transport number higher than that of the active substance are disposed. The ion permeation region may be disposed at positions where the electrolytic solution or the electrolyte of the secondary battery can come into contact with a surface of the active substance when the electrode for a secondary battery is assembled in a secondary battery.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】二次電池の正極又は負極として用いられる二次電池用電極を提供する。【解決手段】電解液又は固体若しくはゲル状の電解質を備える二次電池用電極が、導電性物質を含む集電体222と、集電体の少なくとも一部と接し、活物質を含む活物質層224とを備える。二次電池用電極において、集電体及び活物質層の少なくとも一方に、電解液の電解質イオンが侵入可能な空隙、及び、活物質よりもイオンの輸率の大きなイオン伝導性物質の少なくとも一方を有するイオン透過領域462、464が配される。イオン透過領域は、二次電池用電極が二次電池に組み込まれたときに、二次電池の電解液又は電解質と、活物質の表面とに接触可能な位置に配されてよい。【選択図】図4
