To provide a movement support apparatus, an information processing method, and a program capable of efficiently supporting users' movement, assuming various situations.SOLUTION: A movement support apparatus 10 identifies an external device 60 existing on a movement route of a user P to be supported based on a set movement plan, and establishes first communication means that enables direct communication between the identified external device 60 and a white cane 1 carried by the user P. The movement support apparatus then generates support information for supporting the user's movement based on information received from the external device by the first communication means, and outputs the generated support information to an output device 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】多様な場面を想定して、ユーザの移動を効率的に支援することができる移動支援装置、情報処理方法及びプログラムを得る。【解決手段】移動支援装置10では、設定された移動計画に基づいて、支援対象のユーザPの移動ルート上に存在する外部デバイス60を特定し、特定された外部デバイス60とユーザPの携行する白杖1との間で直接通信を可能とする第1の通信手段を確立する。そして、第1の通信手段により外部デバイスから受信した情報に基づいて、ユーザの移動を支援する支援情報を生成し、生成した支援情報を出力装置32に出力する。【選択図】図1
