To provide a new technique to improve the performance to discriminate between a wayside coil and noise in an on-train device that detects the wayside coil.SOLUTION: An on-train device 10 comprises: an FFT unit 202 that analyzes the amplitude frequency characteristics of a signal received by a receiving circuit 24; a statistical processing unit 208 that, based on the amplitude frequency characteristics, performs calculation of a first index value indicating reception of the same frequency noise from the ratio between the average value of the amplitudes of frequency components and a Q value, and performs calculation of a second index value indicating reception of random frequency noise from the standard deviation of the amplitudes of the frequency components; and a wayside coil detection unit 210 that determines detection of a wayside coil 30 based on the fact that the first index value is a negative value and the second index value is a negative value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
