To provide an air turbulence sensing system and an air turbulence sensing method capable of suppressing airframe upset during an air turbulence encounter with higher safety and reliability.SOLUTION: An air turbulence sensing system 10 includes a Doppler lidar 2 mounted on an aircraft 1, an air turbulence prediction unit 21 for using a measurement value by the Doppler lidar 2 to predict air turbulence in front of the aircraft 1, and a plurality of static pressure measurement units 4 arranged at a plurality of points on a main wing surface of the aircraft, and compensates for information of the predicted air turbulence on the basis of the measurement value of each of the points measured by the plurality of static pressure measurement units 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
