To provide a flood detection device which can simply and highly accurately detect flooding of a road on the basis of running state data of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A central processing part 38 acquires CAN data from an information providing device 14. A prediction part 40 reads a vehicle behavior model constituted by running resistances including air drag acting on a vehicle, a grade resistance acting on the vehicle, and a rolling resistance acting on the vehicle for acquiring a physical quantity varying in running of the vehicle, calculates a prediction value of a vehicle speed by using the CAN data and the vehicle behavior model. A determination part 42 detects flooding by comparing the prediction value of the vehicle speed and an actually measured value of the vehicle speed of the CAN data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】車両の走行状態データを用いて簡易かつ高精度に道路の冠水を検知可能な冠水検知装置を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】中央処理部38が、情報提供装置14からCANデータを取得し、予測部40が、車両に作用する空気抵抗、車両に作用する勾配抵抗、及び車両に作用する転がり抵抗を含む走行抵抗とで構成された、車両が走行することにより変化する物理量を求める車両挙動モデルを読み出して、CANデータと車両挙動モデルとを用いて車速の予測値を算出し、判定部42が、車速の予測値と、実際のCANデータの車速の実測値とを比較して冠水を検知する。【選択図】図1
