To provide a film capacitor that can ensure high moisture resistance despite a small amount of resin; and to provide an inverter using the film capacitor, and an electric vehicle.SOLUTION: A film capacitor of the present disclosure comprises: a film capacitor element 11 that has metal electrodes respectively on a pair of opposing end faces; metal bus bars 1A, 1B that are respectively connected with the metal electrodes; and an exterior resin 13 that covers the film capacitor element. The bus bars 1A, 1B each include a connection part 1c, an electric conduction part 1d, a moisture-resistant flange part 1d that extends from the connection part 1c along a peripheral surface of the film capacitor element other than the pair of end faces, and an overlapping part 1f that is opposite to part of the other bus bar with a gap therebetween while continuing from a tip side of the moisture-resistant flange part 1d. Both bus bars are fixed to the film capacitor element 11 while sandwiching the exterior resin 13 or an insulator between the overlapping parts 1f.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
