To provide a vehicle remote operation system which determines whether a remote operation is possible or not in the event of a failure in an automated driving vehicle, and which enables the remote operation of the automated driving vehicle if the remote operation is possible.SOLUTION: A vehicle remote operation system for executing a remote operation to make an automated driving vehicle travel according to an amount of an operation by a remote operator, includes: a failure information recognition unit which acquires failure information transmitted from the automated driving vehicle; a remote operation possibility determination unit which, on the basis of the failure information, determines whether it is possible or not for the automated driving vehicle to travel according to the remote operation by the remote operator; a notification unit which, if it is determined by the remote operation possibility determination unit that the remote operation is possible, notifies the remote operator of a fact that the remote operation is possible; and a remote operation transmission unit which, if it is determined by the remote operation possibility determination unit that the remote operation is possible, transmits a remote operation signal according to the remote operation to the automated driving vehicle when the remote operator performs the remote operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
