To obtain a vehicle structural body and a strengthening method of a steel sheet for a vehicle having a hardened area hardly broken by external force that is input.SOLUTION: A hardened area 32 of a vehicle structural body 10 of the present invention has a substantially hemispherical shape with a center of curvature at a vehicle lower surface side of a bottom wall rear side portion 16, a direction of a tensile stress S in the hardened area 32 generated because of formation of the hardened area 32 is an outward radial direction centered on the center of curvature. Therefore, the generation of the tensile stresses S in mutually opposing directions is suppressed that act so as to separate a specific area in the hardened area 32 in a direction orthogonal to the thickness direction of the bottom wall rear side portion 16 .SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】入力された外力によって壊れ難い硬化部を有する車両用構造体及び車両用鋼板の強化方法を得る。【解決手段】本車両用構造体10の硬化部32は、底壁後側部16の車両下側の面の側を曲率の中心とする略半球形状とされ、硬化部32が形成されることで硬化部32に生じた引張応力Sの方向は、上記の曲率中心を中心側とする放射方向側になる。このため、硬化部32内の特定の部位を底壁後側部16の厚さ方向に対して直交する方向へ引き離すような互いに相反する方向の引張応力Sの発生が抑制される。【選択図】図1
