To provide a motor control device in which, even in the case where maximum torques that can be respectively generated by coil groups of multiple systems are unbalanced, the total motor torque can be varied at a constant rate.SOLUTION: The upper limit of either one of a first current command value Ito a first coil group and a second current command value Ito a second coil group may be limited to a value less than the original upper limit. For example, in the case where the first current command value Ito the first coil group is limited to a value less than an original upper limit value I, an ECU (electronic control unit) adds, to the second current command value Ito the second coil group, the limited amount of the first current command value I(the difference between the first current command value Ibefore being limited and the value of current actually supplied to the first coil group).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
