To easily estimate electric resistivity of volcanic ash.SOLUTION: A method for estimating electric resistivity of volcanic ash includes the steps of: measuring electric resistivity of volcanic ash adjusted to a reference moisture ratio, as a preparatory step of conducting advance preparation; producing suspension by mixing volcanic ash in condition of an arbitrary moisture ratio into water, and measuring electric conductivity of the suspension; and leading out the below formula (1) for a first relationship between an electric resistivity ρof volcanic ash in the reference moisture ratio w0, and an electric conductivity EC of the suspension in condition of an arbitrary moisture ratio.
