To provide a pneumatic tire which secures in-plane shear rigidity of a belt, suppresses an influence on a strength of the belt by stress generated inside of the belt by the cord, and can reduce the weight.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire 10 includes a belt 40 of a single layer, in which a resin-coated cord 48 including a plurality of cords 42 that are arranged in such a close contact manner as not to contact each other in a tire width direction in the central part, and a resin 46 covering the cords 42 and having tensile elastic modulus larger than those of a first rubber material covering the tire case 34 and a second rubber material constituting a tread 50 are spirally wound along the outer peripheral surface of a tire case 34 outside in a tire radial direction of the tire case 34 and inside in the tire radial direction of the tread 50, and the adjacent resins 46 in the wound state at the end in the tire width direction of the adjacent resin-coated cord 48 are joined and integrally formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】ベルトの面内剪断剛性を確保すると共にコードによりベルト内部に生じる応力がベルトの強度に及ぼす影響を抑制した上で軽量化を図ることができる空気入りタイヤを提供する。【解決手段】空気入りタイヤ10に、中心部にタイヤ幅方向に沿って互いに接触しない程度に近接配置された複数のコード42と、コード42を被覆し、タイヤケース34を被覆する第1のゴム材料及びトレッド50を構成する第2のゴム材料よりも大きい引張弾性率を有する樹脂46と、を含んで構成された樹脂被覆コード48がタイヤケース34のタイヤ径方向外側かつトレッド50のタイヤ径方向内側でタイヤケース34の外周面に沿って螺旋状に巻回されると共に巻回された状態で隣接する樹脂被覆コード48のタイヤ幅方向の端部の樹脂46同士が接合され一体的に形成された単層のベルト40を備える。【選択図】図2
