To solve the problem of conventional cooling structures for battery packs that a cooling air passage and a gas exhaust duct communicate with each other, and toxic gas generated from a battery module may flow into the interior of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A cooling structure 12 for a vehicle battery 10 of the present invention comprises: a battery module 23 in which a plurality of battery cells 22 is disposed in one direction; a cooling duct 26 disposed along the side surface of the battery module 23; a temperature control plate 41 to be deformed due to abnormal heat generation of the battery cells 22; a smoke exhaust duct 27 branched from the cooling duct 26 and disposed along the side surface of the battery module 23, and, in a branch area between the cooling duct 26 and the smoke exhaust duct 27, a shutter mechanism 31 that moves in conjunction with the temperature control plate 41 in the event of abnormal heat generation of the battery cells 22. With this structure, while the battery cells 22 are operating normally, the cooling air flowing through the cooling duct 26 is also supplied to the smoke exhaust duct 27, so that the cooling efficiency of the battery module 23 can be improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】従来の組電池の冷却構造では、冷却風通路とガス排気ダクトとが連通し、電池モジュールから発生した有毒なガスが、車室内へと流れ込む恐れがあるという問題があった。【解決手段】本発明の車両用電池10の冷却構造12では、複数の電池セル22が一方向に配列された電池モジュール23と、電池モジュール23の側面に沿って配設される冷却ダクト26と、電池セル22の異常発熱により変形する温調プレート41と、冷却ダクト26から分岐し、電池モジュール23の側面に沿って配設される排煙ダクト27と、冷却ダクト26と排煙ダクト27との分岐領域に、電池セル22の異常発熱の際に温調プレート41と連動して可動するシャッター機構31と、が、備えられている。この構造により、電池セル22が正常に稼働している間は、冷却ダクト26内を流れる冷却風を排煙ダクト27へも流すことで、電池モジュール23の冷却効率を向上させることができる。【選択図】図2
