To provide a technique by which flow of combustion products such as combustion gas in a housing of a gas generator can be preferably controlled.SOLUTION: The gas generator has a first igniter and a second igniter, and comprises a first space into which a first gas generating agent which is combusted by the first igniter is charged, a second space into which a second gas generating agent which is combusted by the second igniter is charged, a bulkhead member that defines the inside of a housing and an inner cylinder member which stores the first igniter and has a communication part at one end part thereof. The gas generator further comprises a blocking member that blocks a third space formed between an inner wall surface of the inner cylinder member and an outer wall surface of a fixed part of the first igniter and communicated through a communication part to the first space, which is configured to be inhibited from deforming with respect to pressurization from the first space side and to be allowed to deform with respect to pressurization from the third space side so as to eliminate a blocked state between the first space and the third space.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
