To provide a ship propulsion system and a ship capable of suppressing degradation of propulsion efficiency while jointly using the propellers driven by an internal combustion engine and by electrical motors.SOLUTION: A ship propulsion system 11 comprises: a first power transmission device 22 to transmit power of an internal combustion engine 20 to a propeller 21; second power transmission devices 32 to transmit power of electrical motors 30 to propellers 31 and attached rotatably in the vertical direction to a hull independent of the first power transmission device 22; actuators 33 to rotate the second power transmissions 32 in the vertical direction; and a controller 4. The controller 4 is configured to be able to select either of a first driving mode to drive the internal combustion engine 20 and not to drive the electrical motor 30, or a second driving mode not to drive the internal combustion engine 20 and to drive the electrical motor 30, and the controller makes the actuators 33 operate to rotate the second power transmissions 32 in the vertical direction when the first driving mode is selected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】内燃機関を動力源とする推進器と、電動モータを動力源とする推進器とを併用しながらも、推進効率の低下が抑えられる船舶推進システム及び船舶を提供する。【解決手段】船舶推進システム11は、内燃機関20の動力をプロペラ21に伝達する第1動力伝達装置22と、電動モータ30の動力をプロペラ31に伝達し、第1動力伝達装置22とは独立して上下回動可能に船体に取り付けられる第2動力伝達装置32と、第2動力伝達装置32を上下回動するためのアクチュエータ33と、制御装置4とを備える。制御装置4は、内燃機関20を駆動し且つ電動モータ30を駆動しない第1駆動モードと、内燃機関20を駆動せず且つ電動モータ30を駆動する第2駆動モードとを選択可能に構成されており、第1駆動モードが選択された場合に、第2動力伝達装置32が上方に回動するようにアクチュエータ33を作動させる。【選択図】図1
