To present a better waypoint to a user.SOLUTION: A navigation device 1 comprises: a registered point information recording unit 13, destination information acquisition unit 14, a desired arrival time information acquisition unit 15 and a current point information acquisition unit 19 for acquiring a current position, a destination, a registered point and a desired arrival time; a time allowance prediction computing unit 20 for predicting a time allowance till the desired arrival time; a stop-by point candidate extraction unit 21 for extracting a candidate for a stop-by point; a weighting calculation unit 22 for referring to facility information registered in a facility information database 18 on the basis of the distance between the registered point and the current position, or the distance between the registered int and the destination, and a time allowance, and performing weighting for the extracted stop-by point; a stop-by point proposal information generation unit 26 for generating stop-by point proposal information on the basis of the weighting result; and a route search unit 16 for searching for a route when stopping in at the stop-by point on the basis of the stop-by point proposal information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
