To provide a rotation angle detection device, motor control device, electric power steering device and rotation angle detection method that can maintain high detection accuracy.SOLUTION: On the basis of a maximum value or a minimum value of a first sinusoidal signal serving a differential between a positive phase sinusoidal signal and a reversed phase sinusoidal signal, a second sinusoidal signal is obtained that has a gain of the first sinusoidal signal corrected. On the basis of a maximum value or a minimum value of a first cosine wave signal serving a differential between a positive phase cosine wave signal and a reversed phase cosine wave, a second cosine wave signal is obtained that has a gain of the first cosine wave signal corrected. On he basis of a maximum value or a minimum value of a third sinusoidal signal adding the second cosine wave signal and the second sinusoidal signal, a fourth sinusoidal signal is obtained that has a gain of the third sinusoidal signal corrected. On the basis of a maximum value or a minimum value of a third cosine wave signal subtracting the second sinusoidal signal from the second cosine wave signal, a fourth cosine wave signal is obtained that has a gain of the third cosine wave signal corrected.
