To prevent a pipe or an apparatus device at an upstream side from being heated by reverse flow of an excessive fuel through a main fuel supply pipe, even in a case where a load of an internal combustion engine is suddenly reduced, regarding a fuel supply system and a fuel supply method.SOLUTION: A fuel supply system comprises: a fuel pressurization device which pressurizes a fuel; a branched pipe which is branched from a main fuel supply pipe extending from the fuel pressurization device to an internal combustion engine in order to supply the pressurized fuel to the internal combustion engine, and extends to a processing device for processing a part of the pressurized fuel; a flowmeter which is provided in the branched pipe and measures a flow rate of the fuel flowing in the branched pipe per unit time; a flow rate control valve for controlling the flow rate of the fuel flowing in the branched pipe per unit time; and a control device which generates a control signal for controlling an aperture of the flow rate control valve. The control device calculates an excessive fuel quantity per unit time which becomes excessive with respect to a reduced required fuel quantity, within the main fuel supply pipe, and controls the aperture of the flow rate control valve based on a result of the calculation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】燃料供給システム及び燃料供給方法で、内燃機関の負荷を急激に低下させても、余分な燃料が燃料供給主配管を逆流して上流側の配管や機器装置を加熱することを抑制する。【解決手段】燃料供給システムは、燃料を加圧する燃料加圧装置と、加圧した燃料を内燃機関に供給するために前記燃料加圧装置から前記内燃機関に延びる燃料供給主配管から分岐し、加圧した燃料の一部を処理する処理装置に延びる分岐配管と、前記分岐配管に設けられ、前記分岐配管を流れる燃料の単位時間当たりの流量を計測する流量計と、前記分岐配管を流れる燃料の単位時間当たりの流量を制御する流量制御バルブと、前記流量制御バルブの開度を制御する制御信号を生成する制御装置と、を備える。前記制御装置は、前記燃料供給主配管内で、低減した前記燃料要求量に対して余剰となる単位時間当たりの燃料余剰量を算出し、この算出結果に基づいて前記流量制御バルブの開度を制御する。【選択図】図1
