To display a display image easy to grasp physical relationship of a vehicle and an obstruction, without increasing the load of a user due to setting of a target point.SOLUTION: As an example, a periphery monitoring device includes a model where a captured image, obtained by imaging around the vehicle by means of an on-vehicle imaging part, is stuck to the three-dimensional surface around the vehicle, a generation part for generating a display image viewing a target point in a virtual space, where a captured image obtained by imaging around the vehicle by means of an on-vehicle imaging part, is stuck to the three-dimensional surface around the vehicle, and an output part for outputting the display image to the display. When shifting of a virtual viewpoint in the vehicle width direction is designated via an operation input part, the generation part shifts the target point in conjunction with shifting of the virtual viewpoint in the vehicle width direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
