To provide an electronic control device that can suppress closing of a vent hole through which air flows.SOLUTION: An electronic control device comprises a circuit board on which a control circuit unit is implemented, an enclosure in which the circuit board is accommodated, and a blower unit that air-cools the enclosure. The blower unit is drive-controlled by the control circuit unit, and comprises: a fan rotating in a plane being parallel to a mounting surface of the blower unit in the enclosure; and a dustproof cover that is formed to cover the fan, and that has an air intake port formed on an opposite side of the enclosure relative to the fan and an air exhaust port formed between the mounting surface and the fan. The control circuit unit has, as a control mode of the blower unit, a normal control mode that rotates the fan normally such that the air flows from the air intake port to the air exhaust port and a reverse rotation control mode that includes a state to rotate the fan reversely in an opposite direction to normal rotation, and drives the blower unit by temporarily switching from the normal control mode to the reverse rotation control mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
