PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a periphery monitoring device that, in a case where a three-dimensional image obtained by viewing a point of gazing outside a vehicle from a virtual viewing point via a vehicle cabin is displayed, is able to easily specify the position around the vehicle from which the three-dimensional image is obtained.SOLUTION: A periphery monitoring device according to an embodiment comprises, for example, on the basis of an image obtained by imaging periphery of a vehicle with an imaging section, a generating section for generating a first image that is a three- dimensional image obtained by viewing a point of gazing outside the vehicle from a virtual viewing point via a vehicle cabin, that includes a dead-angle image corresponding to an area outside the imaging range of an imaging section, and that is obtained by superposing, with respect to a position where a component of the vehicle is present, a secondary image of this component on the dead-angle image; and a display section that images a first image generated by a generating section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
