PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology to detect existence of an article which is more improved in reliability and safety while suppressing cost increase.SOLUTION: A system to detect existence of an article comprises a radar device which sends and receives an electromagnetic wave for radiation and finds the distance to an object and a wave amount reflected from the object when receiving reflected parts of the sent wave, a reflecting member for the radar to reflect the sent wave in the incident direction of the wave and an existence detection device to detect existence of an article. The existence detection device comprises a radar information control unit which, through plural radar devices, accepts information of the distance to the object detected and the reflected wave amount and an existence detection unit which finds that a moving body exists in the irradiation range of the radar device that detects the object when the object is recognized as a prescribed moving body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
