PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp compatible with both of a low beam and a high beam with a simple configuration, and a vehicle illumination device and a vehicle lamp fitting.SOLUTION: A discharge lamp includes: a light-emitting part having a discharge space filled with metal halide and inert gas therein; and a pair of electrodes projecting into the discharge space and arranged to face each other at a predetermined distance. When electric power applied to the discharge lamp at a low beam is 24 W or more and 30 W or less, electric power applied to the discharge lamp at a high beam is 32 W or more and 38 W or less, and a thickness dimension of the electrode is represented by d (mm), the thickness dimension of the electrode satisfies the following formula: 0.24(mm)≤d(mm)≤0.33(mm)SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】簡略な構成でロービームおよびハイビームに対応が可能な放電ランプ、車両用照明装置、および車両用灯具を提供することである。【解決手段】実施形態に係る放電ランプは、金属ハロゲン化物と、不活性ガスと、が封入された放電空間を内部に有する発光部と;前記放電空間の内部に突出し、所定の距離を置いて対向配置させた一対の電極と;を具備した放電ランプである。ロービームの際に前記放電ランプに印加する電力を24W以上、30W以下とし、ハイビームの際に前記放電ランプに印加する電力を32W以上、38W以下とし、前記電極の太さ寸法をd(mm)としたときに、前記電極の太さ寸法は以下の式を満足する。0.24(mm)≦d(mm)≦0.33(mm)【選択図】図1
