PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce losses caused when transferring from a motor travelling state where an engine is stopped to a hybrid travelling state where the engine is operated.SOLUTION: The control device of a hybrid vehicle comprises a transmission mechanism which can divide and transmit engine torque to a first motor side and an output part side to which torque of a second motor is added and can change a ratio between first torque to be transmitted to the first motor side and second torque to be transmitted to the output part side. In transferring from an EV travelling mode in which an engine is stopped and the vehicle travels by power of the motor, to an HV travelling mode in which the vehicle travels by power of the engine, when vehicle speed is higher than a vehicle speed threshold Vth, the device starts the engine in a Hi mode in which a share rate of torque of output elements relative to torque of input elements of the transmission mechanism is small; and when the vehicle speed is equal to the vehicle speed threshold or less, the device starts the engine in a Lo mode in which a share rate is larger than the share rate in the Hi mode (steps S140-S180).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
