PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce temperature change in blown-out air which is blown-out into a cabin, thus reducing likelihood of passengers experiencing any discomfort when defrosting a heat exchanger at the exterior of the cabin.SOLUTION: If it has been determined, during a heating operation mode, that a car outdoor heat exchanger 33 is frosting, car indoor heat exchangers 31 and 32 remain as radiators, and switchover is made to a defrosting operation mode which guides a high-pressure refrigerant that has been discharged from a compressor 30 to the car outdoor heat exchanger 33. If it has been determined, during a dehumidifying heating operation mode, that the car outdoor heat exchanger 33 is frosting, the downstream-side car indoor heat exchanger 31 acts as a radiator, and switchover is switched to a defrosting operation mode which guides the high-pressure refrigerant that has been discharged from the compressor 30 to the car outdoor heat exchanger 33.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
