PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a rise of a temperature of a lock solenoid which is arranged at a ventilation device of an elevator.SOLUTION: An elevator having a function for controlling atmospheric pressure in a car chamber comprises: a ventilation window opening/closing member which is arranged so as to be opened and closed for the ventilation of the car chamber; a stopper for setting a position in which the ventilation window opening/closing member closes a door; a lock shaft for locking the door-closed ventilation window opening/closing member; a lock solenoid for operating the lock shaft; a non-lock elastic body for making the lock shaft of the lock solenoid retreat at the interruption of power; and a solenoid cover for covering the lock solenoid. The elevator also has an air flow-in port for supplying air in the car chamber in order to cool the lock solenoid. The solenoid cover has an air flow-out port for discharging air from the air flow-in port, and a valve for opening and closing the air flow-out port.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
