PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object recognition device for quickly detecting a pedestrian around a vehicle, an object recognition method, and an object recognition program.SOLUTION: An object recognition device 20 includes an image acquisition part 21 which acquires an image obtained by photographing the travel direction of an own-vehicle and a recognition processing part 22 which recognizes a subject photographed in the image acquired by using a recognition dictionary with respect to the acquired image. The recognition processing part 22 detects another vehicle by using a vehicle recognition dictionary with respect to the acquired image, sets a priority recognition area to the vicinity of the detected another vehicle, and recognizes the pedestrian by using a pedestrian recognition dictionary with respect to the priority recognition area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
