PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately estimate, on the basis of an image input from an imaging apparatus that images a predetermined area on a road, behavior of an object relating to a traffic situation in the predetermined area and moving on the road.SOLUTION: An intersection analyzer 1 comprises: a background difference calculating section 21 that calculates a background difference image BDt, which is a difference between an input image It that receives input from a camera 5 for imaging an intersection, and a background image BGt-1 relating to background information of the intersection; an object detecting section 3 that calculates identification information and movement vector of at least one object M[k] relating to a traffic situation at the intersection and moving on the road of the intersection, from the background difference image BDt calculated by the background difference calculating section 21; and a behavior interpretation section 4 that estimates the behavior A[k] of an object M[k] having identification information of the intersection, on the basis of the identification information and movement vector information of the object M[k] detected by the object detecting section 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】道路上の所定領域を撮像する撮像装置から入力される入力画像に基づき、当該所定領域における交通状況に係り、道路上を移動する物体の行動を精度良く推定する。【解決手段】交差点解析装置1は、交差点を撮像するカメラ5から入力される入力画像Itと、交差点の背景情報に係る背景画像BGt−1との差分である背景差分画像BDtを算出する背景差分算出部21と、背景差分算出部21により算出された背景差分画像BDtから、交差点における交通状況に係り、交差点の道路上を移動する少なくとも1つの物体M[k]の識別情報及び動きベクトルを算出する物体検知部3と、物体検知部3により検知された物体M[k]の識別情報及び前記動きベクトルの情報に基づき、交差点における識別情報をもつ物体M[k]の行動A[k]を推定する行動理解部4と、を具備する。【選択図】図1
