PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce air intake resistance by avoiding main flow of outside air to be taken in through an air intake port from colliding with a drip channel.SOLUTION: An air intake duct 1, installed on a rear surface of a cab 2 of a transportation vehicle and extended in a vertical direction, into which outside air is taken in as air intake for an engine through an air intake port 3 opened above the port, comprises: a duct main body 4 having an outer shell structure with the air intake port 3 opened upward; a side branch part 5, formed below the duct main body 4, whose upper end is opened in the duct main body 4 and whose lower end is opened to the outside; a mesh 6 which is expanded across the air intake port 3 to collect rain water; a louver 7 which covers the air intake port 3 together with the mesh 6 to inhibit entrance of air other than the outside air; and a drip channel (a bead 8), provided in an inner wall just below the mesh 6 in the duct main body 4, which collects rain water dripping through the inner wall and introduces the water to an upper end of the side branch part 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】空気取入口から取り込まれる外気の主流とドリップチャンネルとの衝突を回避して吸気抵抗の低減化を図る。【解決手段】運搬車両のキャブ2後面に据え付けられて上下方向に延在し且つその上側で開口した空気取入口3から外気をエンジン用吸気として取り入れる吸気ダクト1に関し、前記空気取入口3を上側に開口して外殻構造を成すダクト本体4と、該ダクト本体4の下部に形成されて上端をダクト本体4内で開口し且つ下端を外部に開放したサイドブランチ部5と、前記空気取入口3に張り渡されて雨水を捕集するメッシュ6と、該メッシュ6ごと前記空気取入口3を被覆して外気以外の侵入を阻むルーバー7と、前記ダクト本体4内における前記メッシュ6直下の内壁に設けられ且つ該内壁を流下する雨水を捕らえて前記サイドブランチ部5の上端に導くドリップチャンネル(ビード8)とを備える。【選択図】図1
