PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation sailing vessel equipped with a sail erected on a deck, a hydraulic turbine, a generator driven by the hydraulic turbine, and an energy storage device for accumulating electric energy produced by the generator directly or after converting it to a material, in which a decelerated relative water flow behind the hydraulic turbine is effectively used for improving propulsion performance of the vessel.SOLUTION: A power generation sailing vessel includes a sail 2 erected on a deck, a hydraulic turbine 3 arranged protruding forward from a bow, a generator 4 driven by the hydraulic turbine 3, and an energy storage device 6 for accumulating electric energy produced by the generator 4 directly or after converting it to a material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
