PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire having light weight and excellent in cornering powder and operation stability when traveling at high speed.SOLUTION: There is provided a pneumatic tire containing a reinforcement layer 10 constituted by drawing organic fiber cords 11, where the organic fiber cords 11 are constituted by a polyethylene terephthalate fiber, breaking strength of 4.0 cN/dtex or more, intermediate elongation of 3.0% to 4.0%, dimensional stability index of 5.0% to 6.5% and twist coefficient represented by the formula (1) in a range of 1700 to 2100 are set, a coating rubber 12 coating the organic fiber cords 11 is constituted by a rubber composition by blending 100 pts.mass of a diene rubber containing a natural rubber and/or an isoprene rubber of at least 30 mass%, 30 to 80 pts.mass of carbon black with nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of 90 m/g or less and 1 to 20 pts.mass of cashew oil with glass transition temperature of -75°C or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】軽量で、コーナリングパワー、および高速走行時の操縦安定性に優れる空気入りタイヤを提供する。【解決手段】有機繊維コード11を引き揃えて構成された補強層10を含む空気入りタイヤにおいて、有機繊維コード11をポリエチレンテレフタレート繊維で構成し、破断強度を4.0cN/dtex以上、中間伸度を3.0%〜4.0%、寸法安定性指数を5.0%〜6.5%、式(1)で表される撚り係数を1700〜2100の範囲に設定する一方で、有機繊維コード11を被覆するコートゴム12を、天然ゴムおよび/またはイソプレンゴムを少なくとも30質量%含むジエン系ゴム100質量部に対し、窒素吸着比表面積が90m2/g以下のカーボンブラックを30〜80質量部、ガラス転移温度が−75℃以下のカシューオイルを1〜20質量部配合したゴム組成物で構成する。【選択図】図2
