PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load applied to a battery at the time of restart of an engine in association with idle stop control while constituting an electric parking brake device so as to be able to operate in response to input from a driver.SOLUTION: An engine start control system for a vehicle includes: a starter 30 connected to a battery 80; an idle stop control section 12 automatically stopping an engine and automatically restarting the engine by the starter; input means 50 generating a pressurization request and a release request in response to input from a driver; an electric parking brake device 40 including an electric motor 42 connected to the battery, the electric motor being driven and imparting braking force to wheels in response to the pressurization request, the electric motor being driven and releasing the braking force imparted to the wheel in response to the release request; and an arbitration section 16 prohibiting driving of the electric motor in response to the release request when the release request is generated during an engine automatic stop or after completion of the automatic stop, or during a restart of the engine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】電動パーキングブレーキ装置を運転者からの入力に応じて作動可能な構成としつつ、アイドルストップ制御に伴うエンジンの再始動時のバッテリへの負荷を低減する。【解決手段】バッテリ80に接続されるスタータ30と、エンジンを自動的に停止し、前記スタータによりエンジンを自動的に再始動させるアイドルストップ制御部12と、運転者からの入力に応答して加圧要求及び解除要求を生成する入力手段50と、前記バッテリに接続される電気モータ42を含み、前記加圧要求に応答して前記電気モータが駆動して車輪に制動力を付与し、前記解除要求に応答して前記電気モータが駆動して前記車輪に付与された制動力を解除する電動パーキングブレーキ装置40と、エンジン自動停止中または自動停止完了後若しくはエンジンの再始動中に前記解除要求が生成された場合、該解除要求に応答した前記電気モータの駆動を禁止する調停部16とを含む。【選択図】図1
