PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance accuracy in positioning a mobile body.SOLUTION: A position measurement device includes: a satellite signal reception section for receiving a positioning signal to be transmitted from a satellite and measuring the position and distance of the satellite that has transmitted the positioning signal; a communication signal reception section for receiving a communication signal to be used for the transmission of a position information message including at least the position of a vehicle; an estimation section for estimating a distance from the vehicle that has transmitted the position information message in accordance with signal intensity when the communication signal is received; and a positioning section for measuring the position of the position measurement device itself on the basis of the position and distance of the satellite measured by the satellite signal reception section, the position of the vehicle included in the position information message, and the distance from the vehicle estimated by the estimation section. The present technique is applied to a position measurement system, for example, including the satellite, the vehicle, and the position measurement device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
