PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control system capable of highly precisely estimating the position of a preceding vehicle even despite a change in a sensed distance while removing noise occurring in the sensed distance.SOLUTION: A vehicle control system 10 that senses a preceding vehicle, which exists ahead of an own vehicle, on the basis of a reflected wave that is a transmission wave which is transmitted to ahead of the own vehicle at predetermined intervals and which is reflected and returned from the preceding vehicle includes distance acquisition means 21 that acquires as a sensed distance a distance from the own vehicle to the preceding vehicle which is obtained based on the reflected wave, filter means 23 that uses a previous value of the sensed distance to perform processing of suppressing a change in the sensed distance, and pieces of correction means 22 and 24 that calculate a change quantity of the sensed distance and correct the sensed distance on the basis of the change quantity. The filter means 23 resets the previous value of the sensed distance at the time of initiation of correction by the pieces of correction means 22 and 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】検知距離に生ずるノイズを除去しつつ、検知距離の変動時においても、先行車両の位置をより精度よく推定可能な車両制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】自車両の前方に所定周期で送信された送信波が、先行車両により反射され戻ってくる反射波に基づいて、前記自車両の前方に存在する先行車両の検知を行う車両制御装置10であって、反射波により求められた自車両から先行車両までの距離を、検知距離として取得する距離取得手段21と、検知距離の過去値を用いて、検知距離の変化を抑制する処理を行うフィルタ手段23と、検知距離の変化量を算出し、その変化量に基づいて検知距離の補正を実施する補正手段22,24と、を備え、フィルタ手段23は、補正手段22,24による補正の開始時点で、検知距離の過去値をリセットすることを特徴とする。【選択図】 図1
