PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire enabling a vehicle driver to easily recognize the limit of a tire gripping force.SOLUTION: The tread pattern of the pneumatic tire has, in the region of the tire width direction outside of the ground end position of the tire width direction of the ground end of the tire width direction, a peripheral direction thin groove narrow in groove width and making a round on a tire periphery, and a lateral groove group having a plurality of lateral grooves having a starting end in a region between the ground end position of the tire width direction and the peripheral direction thin groove and arranged in the tire peripheral direction to extend in the tire width direction and cross the peripheral direction thin groove at a non-orthogonal angle. 【課題】車両ドライバにタイヤのグリップ力の限界を容易に認知させることができる空気入りタイヤを提供する。【解決手段】空気入りタイヤのトレッドパターンは、タイヤ幅方向の接地端のタイヤ幅方向の接地端位置のタイヤ幅方向外側の領域に、溝幅が狭く、タイヤ周上を一周する周方向細溝と、タイヤ幅方向の前記接地端位置と前記周方向細溝との間の領域に開始端を有し、タイヤ幅方向に延びて、前記周方向細溝を非直交の角度で横切る横溝がタイヤ周方向に複数配された横溝群と、が設けられる。前記トレッド部のトレッドゴムは、前記トレッド外側領域内であって、前記接地端位置と前記トレッドパターンのデザインエンドとの間のタイヤ幅方向の距離の5〜30%、前記接地端位置からタイヤ幅方向に沿って離間した位置を境としてトレッドゴムの種類が異なり、前記境のタイヤ幅方向外側の第2のトレッドゴムは、内側の第1のトレッドゴムに比べて、60℃tanδが低い。【選択図】 図2
