PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage battery propulsion system which can suppress lowering of energy efficiency while reducing global environment loads, and a storage battery propulsion ship.SOLUTION: A storage battery propulsion system is equipped with: an AC bus bar 4 which can be connected to a land power source and an AC load 41 in a ship; a DC bus bar 5 which can be connected to a storage battery 2, a propeller 3 and a DC load 51 in the ship; and a connection circuit 6 for charging which can connect the AC bus bar 4 and the DC bus bar 5 to each other. When the storage battery 2 is charged, an electric power is fed to the storage battery 2 from the land power source via the AC bus bar 4, the connection circuit 6 for charging and the DC bus bar 5. When the storage battery 2 is discharged, an electric power is fed to the propeller 3 and the DC load 51 from the storage battery 2 via the DC bus bar 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
