The present invention comprises a method of providing obstruction information in a vehicle. An obstruction warning system receives distance information indicative of a distance of a portion of a vehicle to an obstruction. A projector (140 see fig 1) projects onto an interior surface of the vehicle an indication of the obstruction in relation to the vehicle. This may include a lines 241 and 242 at an angle to each other and indicative of a position of a kerb and a position of the vehicle respectively. These may be projected onto a sill 230 of a door 200. A graphical user interface allows an occupant to activate a selected control (520, 530 see fig 5) by moving their hand (510 see fig 5) or fingers, onto the portion of the vehicle interior corresponding to a displayed control.
