The invention discloses a test station (1) for a fan (100), comprising: a duct (2); a damper (3) selectively increasing or decreasing the resistance to an air flow through said duct (2); an auxiliary fan (4); and a valve (5) configured to alternate between an open position where a lumen of the duct (2) is not blocked, a first partially closed position where the lumen of the duct (2) is partially blocked, and a second partially closed position where the lumen of the duct (2) is partially blocked further. By suitably operating this test station (1), the piston effect caused by a train passing through a tunnel can be simulated for testing fan (100).
