This condition monitoring device has at least: a sensor 201 that is attached to electric wiring 22 connecting a power conversion device 101 and a rotating electric machine 102 and measures at least either the current or the voltage in the electric wiring 22; a signal processing unit 301 for obtaining a signal output from the sensor 201 via a signal cable 202 and converting the signal to a predetermined format; a communication unit 401 for transmitting the output of the signal processing unit 301 to the outside of a transportation vehicle 1; and a shielding housing 302 for covering the sensor 201.
