The present invention regards a hollow load-bearing beam structure (1) and a method for manufacturing of the structure. The structure (1) comprises fiber-reinforced composite material. The structure (1) comprises a first plurality of laminated layers (17') constituting a first beam (9') formed by an interior forming tool (18'). The structure (1) further comprises a second plurality of laminated layers (17'') constituting a first outer skin (3). The first plurality of laminated layers (17') extends through the second plurality of laminated layers (17'') and protrudes outward therefrom. The method comprises the steps of; forming the first beam (9') by means of the interior forming tool (18'); forming the first outer skin (3) by means of an exterior forming tool (18''); whereby the first plurality of laminated layers (17') extends through the second plurality of laminated layers (17'') and protrudes outward therefrom; curing the hollow load-bearing beam structure (1); and removing the interior and exterior forming tool (18', 18'') from the hollow load-bearing beam structure (1).
