A drivetrain subassembly (301) includes a clutch portion (302A) and a gear shaft portion (302B) connected by an integrated inner race (309A)/gear shaft (309B) member. The clutch portion (302A) includes a sprag clutch (303) configured to transfer torque from an engine to a rotor system while allowing the rotor system (203) to continue to rotate in the event of an engine failure. The inner race (309A) of the clutch portion (302A) is integrally formed with the gear shaft (309B) of the gear shaft portion (302B) of the subassembly (301). The gear shaft (309B) is configured to rotate about the longitudinal axis of the sprag clutch (303) for transmitting torque from the sprag clutch (303) to a downstream drivetrain component.
