The invention discloses a ship fin stabilizer installation method. The design method comprises the following steps of: 1, determining a center line of a fin shaft, 2, positioning a fin seat, 3, welding the fin seat and a ship body structure, 4, carrying out welding inspection on the fin seat, 5, mounting a mechanical assembly, 6, carrying out tightness inspection on the mechanical assembly and the fin seat, 7, mounting a flow guide cover, 8, mounting a fin blade, and 9, carrying out sealing inspection on the flow guide cover and the fin seat. And (10) fin blade accessories are installed and coated. The method relates to the whole installation process of the fin stabilizer, and the accuracy of outer plate trepanning and the assembling precision of the fin base are improved; the fin seat can be effectively prevented from rotating along the center line of the fin shaft during positioning, the positioning accuracy of the center line of the fin shaft can be further verified, and the mounting precision and reliability of the fin stabilizer are improved; the matching precision of the mechanical assembly and the inner hole of the fin base is ensured, the installation efficiency of the mechanical assembly is improved, and the possibility of leakage in later use is reduced.
