The construction safety monitoring system based on the unmanned aerial vehicle comprises a monitoring unit and the unmanned aerial vehicle, the unmanned aerial vehicle comprises a vehicle body and an undercarriage arranged on the vehicle body, a mounting base is arranged at the bottom of the unmanned aerial vehicle, and the undercarriage comprises two branch frame bodies arranged on the two opposite sides of the mounting base; an opening cavity for mounting the monitoring unit is formed in the mounting base, an adjusting assembly connected with the monitoring unit is arranged in the mounting base, and the monitoring unit is driven by the adjusting assembly to have a monitoring state of extending out of the opening cavity and a storage state of being stored in the opening cavity. According to the construction safety monitoring system based on the unmanned aerial vehicle, driving adjustment can be conducted on the monitoring unit through the adjusting assembly, so that when monitoring is not conducted, the monitoring unit can be stored in the opening cavity, and it can be prevented that dust covers the monitoring unit to affect use.
