The invention provides an air floatation rotating device with variable mass inertia, and belongs to the field of ground verification tests and the field of aerospace industry tests. The device comprises a floating rotating table 101, a mounting frame 102 and a base 103, and weights with different masses are arranged at different positions in the floating rotating table 101, so that the overall mass inertia is changed. The rotary floating table is ventilated, then a certain initial force is applied to the floating rotating table 101, so that the whole floating rotating table 101 rotates without friction, and the overall rotating angle and the rotating angular speed can be obtained through the encoder assembly and are used for verifying a rotational inertia calculation method.
