The invention discloses a vehicle control method and device, and relates to the technical field of automobiles. The method comprises the steps of obtaining a first target parameter of a vehicle after a vehicle-mounted display screen fails; controlling a second target parameter of the vehicle according to the first target parameter; wherein the second target parameter is positively or negatively correlated with the first target parameter. According to the method and the device, the second target parameter of the vehicle is controlled according to the first target parameter of the vehicle after the vehicle-mounted display screen fails, and the second target parameter is the vehicle parameter which can be intuitively felt by a user; the size of the first target parameter can be represented by the second target parameter which can be intuitively felt by the user, so that the vehicle parameters are intuitively prompted to the user.
