The embodiment of the invention discloses a vehicle composite battery system and an energy control method thereof, relates to the technical field of energy storage, and is used for solving the problems that a composite battery in a hybrid electric vehicle is high in cost and high in control precision requirement. The system comprises an energy battery pack, a power type battery pack, a one-way switch, a two-way switch and a switch control module, an external input port of the switch control module is respectively connected with battery charge state output ports of the energy type battery pack and the power type battery pack, and an output port of the switch control module is respectively connected with the one-way switch and the two-way switch and is used for controlling the closing state of the one-way switch and the two-way switch; the one-way switch is connected with a branch where the energy-type battery pack is located and a branch where the power-type battery pack is located to construct a parallel loop of the energy-type battery pack and the power-type battery pack; one contact of the two-way switch is connected with the positive electrode of the energy type battery pack, and the other contact is connected with the positive electrode of the power type battery pack, so that a charging loop of the composite battery system is arranged in the parallel loop.
