The invention discloses a bending limiter recycling method which comprises the following steps: pre-installing an automatic induction lock catch on a bending limiter, controlling locking and unlocking of the bending limiter through the automatic induction lock catch, connecting a free end of hoisting equipment on an operation and maintenance ship with the bending limiter, and lowering the bending limiter and a first-aid repair joint together; when the first-aid repair connector is lowered to the designated depth of the seabed, the automatic induction lock catch on the bending limiter is bounced off, the submarine cable continues to be lowered and is automatically separated from the bending limiter, and finally the separated bending limiter is pulled upwards to an operation and maintenance ship through hoisting equipment to complete recovery operation. Recycling of the bending limiter is achieved, the cost of first-aid repair of the connector is remarkably reduced, and waste is avoided.
