The present disclosure provides systems and methods for driveline disconnect clutch de-stroke and pre-positioning. Systems and methods for operating a driveline disconnect clutch of a hybrid vehicle are presented. In one example, the driveline disconnect clutch is de-stroked in a particular manner so that the driveline disconnect clutch can be de-stroked more consistently. The de-stroke process may be followed by boosting the driveline disconnect clutch and generating a stroke in order to pre-position the driveline disconnect clutch or maintain the clutch at an offset below the stroke pressure to minimize resistance.
