The invention discloses a design system and method for a front door protection plate handrail support meeting the side collision requirement. The design system comprises a collision simulation module, a structure design module and a verification module. The collision simulation module is used for performing scene simulation of side collision of the whole vehicle to obtain the collision intrusion amount, collision energy and impact force of the door guard plate handrail and the length of the part, subjected to the impact force, of the door guard plate handrail; the structural design module is used for calculating structural parameters of the door guard plate handrail according to the collision intrusion amount, collision energy and impact force of the door guard plate handrail and the length of the part, subjected to the impact force, of the door guard plate handrail on the basis of the simplified model of the door guard plate handrail bracket, and determining the size and assembly structural parameters of the door guard plate handrail; the verification module is used for verifying whether the size and assembly structure parameters of the door protection plate handrail meet the side collision safety requirements of the whole vehicle or not. According to the invention, the abdomen injury value of the front-row passenger dummy in the side impact test can be effectively reduced, and the passenger can be protected in a real scene.
